Maruti Suzuki Alto : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hello,

My bro had 5 star shaped alloys. He sold them 2 months back and now he is on rims and stock Bridgestone tyres. He wants to upgrade the rims to alloys again . In his earlier alloys he had same stock bridgestone tyres.

Some one please sugest which alloys will look funky on Alto lxi and what tyre size should he use with ALTO.

Thank you.

5 star shaped alloys! you mean like this???

wow, that must have been...interesting...
no wonder he had to revert to stock rims.

anyways, enough fooling around.
look up this site - Hindalco - Aura Alloy Wheels
you can choose your specific car make and match alloy designs.

Neo Wheels are also available but i don't have their contact information. look it up using the Search option and you'll be sure to come across something.

With 50k+ budget, he should really be considering another car

Upsize for Alto Lxi

Hi,

One of my friend has decided to upsize his Alto tyres and Alloys. The current specification are 145 / 80 R12 . NOw he wants to go for 13 inches alloy wheels.

What he wants to know is that, for fitting 13 inches will he need to modify the suspension or they will fit easily.?

Second query is what tyre size he should go for. ?

Thrid query is which tyres will suit best ?

Thanks in advance

Upsize this!!!

165/60 R13 is the way to go.......as the Diameter Difference is 1.61%, which is acceptable!!!

For more research........ go to The Tire size Calculator

Edmond is right ...I have put g3 potenzas for my alto 165/60 r13, see to it that you stick with a 5j rim.

It has just been a week that i have changed my tyres, No problems as of yet

.
If rim is 5J....
5 is the rim width ...
J is bead profile in the shape of the letter "J"

Quote:
Wheel sizes are expressed as WWWxDDD sizes. For example 7x14. A 7x14 wheel is has a rim width of 7 inches, and a rim diameter of 14 inches. The width is usually below the width of the tyre for a good match. So a 185mm tyre would usually be matched to a wheel which is 6 inches wide. (185mm is more like 7 inches, but that's across the entire tyre width, not the bead area where the tyre fits the rim.)
