Re: VW Polo : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hi Nomad01, the comfort is excellent and the road noise is minimal. They are renowned as silent performers and thus holds true to this claim. Bridgestone Turanza competes with Michelin Primacy range and is similar in overall performance. Braking and grip is also good but not in the league of performance oriented tyres.

Overall, I am happy extremely happy with them, especially coming from Michelin.

2024, which is the best 205/55/15 right now with best mix of good grip/less noise/comfortable ride ?

thank you.
Hey, did you change the tires? I'm looking to replace my 195/60/R15 P4ST. Not getting Michelin of the same size. So considering 205/55/15 UC6.

Hi. i have not as yet. My S drives actually still drive quite well. Have decent tread and grips fantastic in both dry and wet conditions. I feel they can quite easily do some more kms. Total 58000 by now in 10 yrs. Though must admit they have become a bit noisy.

I am looking to upsize to 17 inch and get Coilovers so that will necessitate a tyre change.

Re: VW Polo : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Has anyone repainted the Cup Edition Alloys ?

Wanted some inputs on that, since it’s dual tone, a bit sceptical about it.!

Currently it is apollo alnac 4G. I want to upgrade the size to 205/55 R16

My requirements are below
1. Better Road Grip and Braking
2. Ride comfort
3. Low noise

I am considering the following options.
1. Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51
2. Continental ContiUltraContact UC6
3. Michelin Primacy 4ST

Which one will be good and do you have any other suggestions?

Hi,

Same set of stock size in my polo 1.2 GT.

Same query.

My emphasis on very comfortable ride and minimal noise at high speeds.

Polo handels well so grip/performance/handelling/balance not a priority for me for choosing tyres.
