Recently noticed a Landmaster lying in a compound on the left side on the way to Rajaji Nagar from Malleswaram. It has become visible because the buildings/ walls were being demolished for Metro/Road work. Appeared to be in fairly good condition. Did not have camera to take a pic.

Chanu,

As earlier told by Shyam (stanher), the car could not be saved cause of Pawerwork issues and a strong request from the owner to scrap (to prevent misuse). However TeamBHP members were lucky to get donar parts from the Car. Thanks a lot to watchful Shyam for the parts.

Ford V8 in Belgaum.

Hi guys, There's this Ford V8 rusting away tucked in a remote garage in Belgaum. I only managed to get one snap before my camera's battery died..

Hi wasif, ya, the owner mentioned that it's a 1936 model, and that he used to reach poona in it in less than 4 hours.

yes wasif, you're right. The owner did mention that it's a 1936 model,

Hey Karl, since Micki found this in Belgaum about a year back, and you find it in Pune a few months back, looks like may be someone from Pune picked it up from him. Any idea whether this is still available?

And Here are some snaps i took while i had been on a holiday to a resort in dandeli, The owner absolutely refuses to sell, and it's a victim of dieselisation as you can see in the snaps. A '56 Plymouth Suburban. (sorry for the poor quality of the snaps, there was something wrong with my camera)

Victim of dieselisation is pretty appropriate way to put it; even I feel it to be a really sad thing to find a lot of nice old cars with petrol motors being converted to diesel. In fact, while I was in Noida for a couple of months in 2006 on work, I visited this Jeep scrapyard in Mayapuri industrial area of Delhi to find / build a petrol ex-army auctioned jeep or something interesting. I was too late, because a dealer there said until just a couple of years ago, lot of such petrol jeeps were available, and almost every customer asked it to be converted to diesel and they actually would sell off the petrol motor at scrap value of around 2K!

The car is around pune, and i think its far from Disintegrating. I also believe that the car is not for sale.

Hi Samir...!!!
Might be very much so, cause as i've already stated, it's almost been a year since i took this snap, and as i'm new to Team-BHP, i've just posted these Snaps, And as Karlosdeville stated earlier, the car might have been purchased by comeone in pune by now. last i knew about it, the owner was quoting upwards of 3 lacs for the car.
thanks!

Sighted this one at a workshop today. With the workshop's ambiance I can only hope that its honchos may sing "Hum Honge Kamyaab Ek Din (donno when?)" in restoring this once gem of a car from the 1960's.
