No Manish and Stanher. There is no Chevy here.

Both the trucks are Chrysler products, sold by Premier Automobiles Ltd of Kurla, Bombay. Back in the late 1950s it was spelled as Coorla.

This one is a 1956 Dodge C-4-D. The two-piece bonnet would open as butterfly wings, with the hinges along the central spine.

...and this one is a 1957 Dodge D-700.

I remember the Dodge D-700 two-pod dash very well.

Back in the early 1960s when I was a school kid in Chembur, Bombay, we had a school bus based on the 1957 Dodge D-700. It was owned by Mr. Silva-Pinto.

But the "Y" steering wheel seems from another truck. This correct steering wheel would have spokes arranges in the shape of a "T" not a "Y".

Both are Dodge/Fargo lorries, mid 50s to 1957-58.

Oh dear! It's "MAD" ( ) to leave a bike like an RD in this state! Especially considering the demand they've got now.

Seen this Vijai Super rusting (but still in a good shape to buy) in Thane.
Still very much restorable (& think still has original LUMAX headlamp shield).
