The rarest of rare things this Landmaster has is the original "H" horn button. Very, very few Landmasters today have it.
The car has been messed up in places like the dashboard. Wheel rims are adorned with aluminum paint, a feature that came with the Ambassador Nova in the early 1990's and so on.
And the price is - well if Landmasters cost this amount then ???

Looks all original (rare to find one like this!) except for the AC fitted inside. The Fiat 1100 indicator on the side adds a nice period touch! But yes, the price doesnt deserve a second comment!

I know about this car.It was bought new by a former Chief secretary of Kerala.Later it was owned by a senior engineer of the State electricity board.The second owner changed the engine to OHV but retained the Sidevalve engine.Later owned by dealer and then about 5 years ago the present owner got it.The cars headliner is molded type.The Bell housing cover is also missing so not easy to put the original engine back in place.
The dealer was offering this for Rs.100000/- few years back.

The price quoted is is just wishful thinking by the dealer. Good Landy's are available within 2Lakhs. This is going to remain unsold for a long time to come...Another similar car is available for sale in Bangalore, that is also in T-bhp. I used to see it often. It too has good degree of originality. Asking 3.25 for it..

This car in the pic. is actually in Hyderabad (and happens to be for sale too!)
I dont think the 1965 one advertised is the same car, he probably just wanted a pic. of a herald (didnt want to put up one of his own car?!) in good condition and found this so used this!

Ram, These days many people seems to have no idea what is ""antique'' ,''classic'', "vintage'' etc.Have seen ads like Vintage esteem, Antique japan maruti etc.The tag is used just to ask an unreasonable price!!!

Well, technically, it is an "England make", being a '64 model.
The mk1 Heralds (made 1961-1965) were all CKD assembled cars with some of the content being locally made progressively, but majority of the parts still being "Made in England"
Incidentally, the late previous (and first) owner of my Herald often referred to his/my car as "imported"!
Coming back to this car, however, the pic. looks rather old, in fact as though from the pre-digital era! 'wonder if the car still looks as good?
