Looks like a Good ole Suvega 50 of Mid 1970s vintage. Seems to be in good nick, overall.

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Yes.
And, here's another one I spotted now. Though, this one is a 'rust in peace' candidate.

It started out as a Yezdi 350 Twin - circa 1985-86. But now is a combination of parts from other bikes in front and back end. Otherwise a good effort on restoration though a bit far from the original

That's a Yezdi 350 Twin (2 cylinder) machine, a very nice one. But came when 2 strokers were dying down. Could have done well earlier. These engines were lying uncared for when the factory was closing down. Many Jawa enthusiasts bought these for use in their twin bikes or to fit them on the roadking / oilking bikes. Dear bikers

Please look at the bikes carefully and see if you can spot the odd bike out. This picture was taken at the height of the British empire. I mean in
the mid 60s when the Brits ruled the motorcycle world. That empire would soon crumble by the end of the 60s and the reason for the death of the british motorcycle industry is attributed by many historians to that honda which you can spot among all those brit lovelies. Yes, it is that honda popularly known as the CB450 Black Bomber which heralded the beginning of the end of the British motorcycle industry. It is only a 450 cc but it had the performance of the bigger brit bikes. It was also the precursor of the CB 750 which was the final nail in the coffin of the British Motorcycle empire.

The rider of this particular Honda might not have known at that time that hewas riding that historical bike which would contribute to the demise of all the other bikes which his friends are riding in a little more than 5 or 6 years

Karl,

Thanks for this post.

It actually answers a dilemma I was in regarding the original color scheme the AJS 500 Twin would have carried when new.

I thought it should be the following;

Classic Motorcycles in India-ajs_18s_500_cc_1952.jpg

and not the one currently on my AJS (see below)

Classic Motorcycles in India-img_2344-aa.jpg

Now your post proves me right I think. Will help me to decide.

What's your take on it ?

Thanks

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Hi Ram

My vote goes in favour of the original colour combination.
