Re: Classics of Travancore, Cochin and Malabar

I used to see the above displayed Land Master in Cochin until few years back. Does any one have info about this car?

Thanks,
Jose.

That is a diesel landy, with nothing original except the body. That too, he as ruined it with fixing a whole lot of extra lights everywhere. It has an amby dashboard, floorshift and a diesel engine.

Add to it Gypsy rims, AC and tints around . Any idea about the reg. no.? It looks like mid-80s to me.

Thanks,
Jose.

Re: Classics of Travancore, Cochin and Malabar

Here is a Dodge from Kerala for sale. Wrongly mentioned as 1954. You may recollect that there is a big difference between the 1954 and 1955 models. The 1955 came with small rear fins. This car has large rear fins and would be a 1956-7 car

Pre-Owned 1954 Dodge Kingsway in Ernakulam| carstorekerala.com.

Cheers

God forbid I see such gory. Such car owners should undergo some sort of counseling.

BTW, there is another Land Master at a workshop near Kannankulangara, Tripunithura. It has most of the original external stuffs. I don't know about the engine or mechanical condition. Not a Kerala reg. also. Will try to take a snap next time I pass the place.

Thanks,
Jose.

APX (not APY) appears to be a big Morris, maybe Oxford. The giveaway is the later Morris Minor/Oxford logo on the radiator grille.

I too was sure this was a Morris from the bonnet shape and grill. I could not identify the correct model as I was not able to match the mud guards and headlight positions.

Cheers
