Well sumtime in the late 60s it was. No problem if you didn't hear. But its a fact we have bought many cars with all the headlight rims and bumpers painted. Unfortunately don't have pictures to show you. But have nothing to prove!

Hi i wanted to get something in notice and that the car in the first set of pictures seems to have a BML registration and the pics of the car above has a CPO registration so it is quite possible that they are two cars and not one.I'm sure that the first one is a Golden hawk because my dad has seen it in pune with my uncle who lives in pune and knows the owner.i'm not sure about the CPO registered car.

The Golden Hawk was advertised for sale in a newspaper I think, quoting 90 lakhs.

Hi harit
There was a silver hawk in calcutta which was show to my father in the late 60's he did buy the car then because he thought it was not worth it at that point of time.Recently i believe a silver hawk was found in delhi with a bombay reg.It has been bought by a collecter in delhi.i dnt have any furthur news on that car.The calcutta car had a WB reg though.

Thankx for the information you shared.

Seems like there where very few hawks in india or there were more but not known to many people.
