I love such cars. Well done, reliable to use and very practical. I wonder how many Fleetmaster convertibles exist in India. Perhaps 2 or three?
I myself have a Fleetmaster 2 door coupe, she travelled from Pune to Indore to Nashik (me) where she is being done.

When I got the car the mechanicals were missing. By chance a Fleetmaster got scrapped a few months ago in Chorbazar. I picked up all these and now the car is getting ready.

Should be very handsome.

A friend always tells me of his relative's immaculate 2 door Chevy of the same era at Khushroo baug which was vandalised and then scrapped out of frustration many years back.

Look what rolled in yesterday.

WOW Thats a post war 1.5 Liter Jaguar Sedan almost identical to the one I have even down to the colour scheme on it.

Do post some close ups of the car with engine snaps and interiors. Also look in the boot lid for a hinged cover that houses the tools in purpose built, felt trimmed individual compartments, more like jewels stored in a jewel box !

Any idea history on this car and its owners would be much anticipated.

A very similar car, with a similar colour scheme was found in a property in Indore by a builder who had purchased the same. This car came to Mumbai, and I believe has been sold on. Likely to be the same car.

we will have to wait till RAC posts some detailed pics. i cannot go inside the private property (see the black car inside the parking lot). i don't have any details on the car.

I think RAC spotted me clicking pics - but sadly i am a stranger to him. Never met him in person. If he is reading this post - I loved the SWB Jeep.

The car looks more of less cosmetically complete but don't know how much of the original stuff is there in terms or mechanicals and interiors.Anyone in calcutta at the moment who knows Rajiv Ghosh can ask him to update it here as well ?

Did you see that Jaguar Sedan that recently was posted being unloaded at this restoration shop.

Could you try to post some pictures and details on it.

Also please check with him regarding the rims on the Lancia. Is ther any manifacturers plate or identification to be found on them.

Hi,

The 49 Jaguar is parked elsewhere, hopefully Sanjay can post some photos and even start a new thread on it.

The Lancia will be at the Tolly Car Show and i will post some more detailed shots. I would suggest you send an email to Sanjay for details & history of this car.
