Here is a paper clipping i received from a friend, supposedly printed in a Hyderabad newspaper a long time ago.

Very nice, though obviously not a Rolls. The car is not identified by me.

I think we have someone from the same family posting on the Hindustan 14 thread. Hopefully he sees this.

A new find in the old newspapers preserved with me. This is The Hindu of June 23rd 1985.The number of cars for sale about 31 years ago in the classifieds and their prices are tempting. A Herald of 1965 (two door) is listed for sale @ Rs 14,000=00 apart from the many other Heralds in the Rs 9000 to 14,500=00 range by a seller. Alongwith, a Sunbeam, Morris Tourer, Morris Diesel (model not said) alongwith so many other cars are listed.

How recent is this article? The bus was already painted red and displayed (in the open) at the Majestic bus stand when I'd seen it back in 2007. Has it been re-restored recently? I hope they atleast put it in a covered display now!

the diesel morris could most likely be the MORRIS MARINA which had a 1.5 litre diesel engine.There was a 1976 morris marina diesel car in cochin till about 5-6 years back.Dont know whether it still survives.?
