I have a quick question is the Acrylic Treatment done by Maruti for paint any good? Are there any better options in terms of effectiveness/VFM?
Whats that!

APS or Acrylic Paint S***** - Its a paint protection coating, to keep the paint from fading etc I guess.

You are right about lower rates for Toyota, but that is the benefit of buying a three box sedans.

Congrats on your booking mate. I recently booked Ritz Zxi too but got no freebies, exactly how did you manage to get all these out of those guys. Modus Operandi please, it would be helpful for others too.

BTW vikram,
the alloys in the pic are also after market ones and Fiat only provide 15" alloys in India.
So keep waiting and hope to see your smile in my thread.
The following is the one chosen from many alloy wheels i have seen, but dont know weather i will buy these only or any other at time of delivery.

Finalised with i10- (12 Feb expected)

So,
I am done with all the research, here on tbhp and on field !
and, I am rounding off with final decision:
Hyundai i10 Magna.

I am getting a deal of 4.31L OTR ( minus 4K Corp discount ), i.e.
final deal of 4.28L OTR.
and I am asking for
1. Deluxe matting/flaps (with sport variant)
2. Steering wheel/Gear leather grips
3. Std Seat covers (till I upgrade to Art leather)
4. Sunfilm (3M if possible/available!)
5. Underbody AntiRust (still studying more, about the feasibility of the same, as the dealer is saying the OEM version of the same is good enough.)
^^ that is cost inclusive..

+Fog Lamps (with some discount-I hope!)
+ICE (in a month or so) ( not wanting non-usb/sub-par looking ICE is one reason why i downgraded from Sport to Magna! )
+Alloy/tyre upgrade (again, in a month or so!)
--
No teflon ( I live 4 km from seashore! and overall humidity is high! so is the dust prob! and thanks to the feed from TBHP..)

Well,

Confusions:

Color finalisation is pending:
Black>
for: I love Black and its meanness: Look/shine! less common
but: heat ! :ouch:, dust :ouch x2:
Grey (one option)
White (good option!) : but: bit more common!
Tyre worry:
A. I have the PDI list printed, and I have asked the dealer for the VIN, and Bridgestone/Apollo tyres.
(the dealer says: we cannot give the tyre preference! +he doesnt have black color in stock. means_10_days_waiting_period !)
B. Should I go for tyre upgrade right away irrespective of getting Bridgestones or Apollos / after buying the car?
I know, the dealer has lesser Alloy options, and I do want Alloys.. reallyy.
Since I have saved up by Sport >> Magna, have the greens!
Please suggest!

If I decide to spend a 10-20K on the car just after buy

If any other offer exists other than insurance & corporate discount please let me know,

>I am about to book the car in 2-3 days.

All the kind help till time/date is appreciated, and I hope more will be showered upon me in-course!

And most of all,

I am thankful to team bhp on all the information I have stocked!

Looking to pour in from my side soon ! ( Initial ownership report > Long term OS report > want a new car again ..with my old i10..!! .. I can see that all !! )

Cant wait to drive my dear family car home!

The only reason i booked at hind motors is that the salesman at joshi was very rude.
When i was telling him that I am still confused between i20 and punto, he told me to go for i20 in a sarcastic tone.
Also, he told me that booking amount would be Rs. 50000 (Non Refundable) for red color. He quoted me 45 days for the delivery. Hind motors commmited (gave in writing) 15-20 days.

Also, HIND motors has better presentation than Joshi.

PS. I booked the car HIND motors, Mohali. Its a huge showroom. Workshop is good and well equipped as well. Do check it out, when you get chance.
