1.18L km with my S-Cross 1.6: A few performance & audio upgrades

In the last two years, more importance was given to proper maintenance than upgrades to ensure that the vehicle runs and looks well.

BHPian grease.monkey recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

It has been a while since I've shared updates of my car, I also managed to find more pictures on my drive! Apart from the change in alloy colour, few more bits and pieces have also been upgraded.

Performance Upgrade :

I had upgraded the turbo and other supporting parts few years back (something similar to Dr. Naren's). I'm associated with Wolf Performance now, so I don't think it'd be fair to detail about the performance or our services here as it's against the forum rules.

Audio Upgrade :

I finally bit the bullet! After experiencing few upgraded audio setups on my friends' cars, I got to know of the improvement it brings to the driving experience. It also made me realise that audio upgrades are NEVER ending - there's always something better than your existing setup and if you don't keep the 'itch to upgrade' in control, it could leave a huge hole in your wallet!

Morel Maximo Co-axial (Rear) and Sony XM GS4 4 Channel Amplifier :

MTX RTP8 Active Subwoofer :

The doors and boot have been damped, unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures of the same. Audio upgrade was done at Galaxy, Kochi. With everything done, the SQ has gotten a lot better. The 8 inch subwoofer packs decent punch.

Headlight Bulb Upgrade :

The HID bulbs in the projectors had become weak. Amit from Blaze India helped me get a good pair of Bycardi LED H1 bulbs. Minor tweaks were required to accommodate the bulbs in the projector. Post upgrade, night drives have become a lot more easier.

Proper cut out and alignment ensures oncoming traffic is not blinded

The car has crossed the 7th year mark and clocked close to 1,18,000 KMs. In the last two years, more importance was given to proper maintenance than upgrades to ensure that the vehicle runs and looks well. Timing, aux kits, clutch, flywheel, all the mounts etc were replaced as part of preventive maintenance. Steering wrap, door pads and headlight lens were also replaced as they showed signs of aging.

Paint correction and interior deep clean was done at The Gloss Factor, Banglore

Future Upgrades (?) :

If I decide to retain the car for few more years, I'm planning to upgrade to a better headunit, install a monoblock amplifier and bigger sub with custom fixed enclosure on the side panel to save boot space. With all those, I hopefully would be done with this project
