2019 Suzuki Vitara revealed

Suzuki has unveiled the 2019 Vitara. The new model features visual updates as well as technical changes. It will be introduced in the UK market in September 2018.

The new Vitara features a redesigned front grille with 6 vertical chrome slats flanked by LED headlights on both sides. It gets a new dual-tone front bumper with circular fog lamps with C-shaped chrome trim and LED DRLs. The rear features LED tail lights and a dual-tone bumper. The SUV comes in two-tone colour schemes and rides on dual-tone alloy wheels. 

On the inside, the new Vitara gets a soft touch dashboard and a new twin-pod instrument cluster with a colour MID. New safety features like Dual Sensor Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Traffic Sign recognition, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear cross traffic alert have now been introduced on the SUV.

In the UK, the 2019 Vitara will be offered with a 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engines, which replaces the 1.6-litre petrol unit. The SZ4 and SZ-T variants get the 1.0-litre, 110 BHP turbocharged petrol engine. All-wheel drive is available as an option on the SZ-T trim equipped with a manual transmission. The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 139 BHP and 220 Nm of torque @ 1,500-4,000 rpm.

Test mules of the previous model have been caught testing over the past few months in India. However, it is not yet known if Maruti plans to launch the Vitara in India.
