All-new third-gen Audi Q5 spied ahead of unveil

Audi is expected to offer the SUV with a varied set of petrol and diesel powertrain options, alongside plug-in hybrid versions.

Audi is working on an all-new iteration of its popular SUV, the Q5. The mid-size SUV will soon get a completely redesigned third-generation iteration. It is expected to be globally unveiled by late-2023, while its international market launch could take place in early-2024.

The all-new third-gen Audi Q5 has now been spied testing ahead of its global unveil. The spy images showcase a completely camouflaged SUV, albeit revealing a few exterior design details. As seen in these images, the upcoming Q5 will come with a more angular front end with vertical air intakes below the high-mounted LED headlamps. The rear could come with a full-width LED light bar and a redesigned rear bumper with auxiliary lights.

Audi is expected to give the new Q5 a completely revamped interior, including larger screens, a new dashboard layout and plenty of features and tech.

The third-gen Audi Q5 will be underpinned by Volkswagen's updated MLB platform, which will also be used on the upcoming A4 sedan. While specifications of the Q5 are yet to be confirmed, Audi is expected to offer the SUV with a varied set of petrol and diesel powertrain options, alongside plug-in hybrid versions.
