BMW 1-Series facelift launched in India at Rs. 29.5 lakh

BMW has silently introduced the 1-Series facelift in India. The car is available in only one variant - 118d Sport Line, priced at Rs. 29.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The 1-Series facelift gets redesigned headlights, a flatter kidney grille, a restyled front bumper with larger air intakes, redesigned wraparound L-shaped tail lamps and twin exhaust pipes.

The exteriors of the 118d Sport Line features LED headlamps, ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators, rain-sensor and automatic driving lights, 8-slat kidney grille finished in glossy black and exhaust tips finished in black chrome.

On the inside, the car gets a new infotainment system with a 6.5-inch screen and chrome trim in the centre console area, gloss black detailing at the front and rear, climate control, BMW Radio Professional and BMW's iDrive operating system. Safety features include airbags, ABS, traction control and electronic vehicle immobiliser among others.

The 118d is powered by a 1,995cc, 4-cylinder TwinPower turbo diesel engine that puts out 148 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,500-3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The engine has four driving modes - ECOPRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
