BMW 7-Series High Security now in India

German luxury carmaker, BMW has launched the armoured version of the 7-Series sedan in India. The company claims that the 760Li High Security, as it is called, meets the most stringent safety requirements for individuals with enhanced security needs.

The car is certified to the international standard guideline, BRV2009 and meets the highest requirements of ballistic protection and provides optimum safety in the individual mobility segment.

BMW claims that the security concept was developed parallel to the regular version of the 7-Series and the integration of safety components was an integral part of the vehicle production process at the company's Dingolfing plant. The car features specific changes to its chassis, reinforced suspension, dampers and strut top mountings which help in tackling the excess weight caused by the armour plating.

Additionally, BMW is providing consultancy and personalised sales and service support across the country to ensure the confidentiality of its clients. The 760Li High Security can be serviced at certified special garages only and access to the car is restricted to a few selected and specially trained personnel. BMW is also offering driver training programmes for its security vehicles.
