DC Avanti website goes live; deliveries to start on April 15

DC Design has launched a dedicated website for the upcoming Avanti supercar.

The Avanti is powered by a mid-mounted, 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that develops 250 bhp @ 5500 and 366 Nm of torque @ 2750 to 5000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. DC claims that the car can do a 0-100 kph sprint in 6 seconds and attain an electronically limited top speed of 200 kph.

The Avanti has a 2-door, 2-seater coupe configuration. It comes with a space frame chassis and roll cage. Its body is made up of carbon composites and the GVW of the car is 1580 kg. The Avanti measures 4565 mm in length, 2120 mm wide with a wheelbase of 2700 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm. The car rides of 20-inch alloy wheels shod with 255x35/R20 and 295x30R20 tyres at the front and rear respectively. Stopping power is provided by four disc brakes with ABS.

According to the brochure, the standard exterior colours for the Avanti include red, black, white and silver. The upholstery can be had in grey, tan, black or red.

Deliveries of the DC Avanti are expected to begin on April 15, 2015.
