Dealer tries to void warranty if car has an accident: reverts later!

The dealer later agreed that none of it should have been mentioned in the delivery note.

BHPian S.Vats recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Got the following delivery note from my dealer and I found it unjust to agree to their terms because of the highlighted part. Can someone guide me if it’s okay to sign this?

I don't understand why they have to add this here when the entire warranty policy is documented in the user manual.

I was planning to upgrade the tires as well but decided against it for the same reason. I've been looking at getting a 70mai Pro Plus dashcam too but I'm not sure if it's really that useful.

Spoke to Skoda directly about this and they agreed that none of it should be mentioned in the delivery note. The dealer called and said that his team wrote it by mistake and picked up the text from an old file. He should’ve at least come up with a better excuse!

It was a rookie move by the dealer if he thought he could enforce his own policies through such documents. Getting the taste of over smart Skoda dealers, maybe?

Here's what GTO had to say on the matter:

I'm sure others might face the same dilemma. What an absolutely dumb non-customer friendly line to include. Don't these multi-crore companies have like a proofreader or document auditor? The first time I'm hearing of an accident nullifying a warranty.

Here's what BHPian Leoshashi had to say on the matter:

It's the same for Maruti's extended warranty too, a pic of their T&C document:
