Flex fuel Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid showcased in India

Toyota has showcased the Corolla Altis Hybrid in India. This new-generation model, currently offered in global markets is powered by a strong-hybrid powertrain that can run on petrol and ethanol.

The Corolla Altis Hybrid uses a 1.8-litre engine that develops 101 BHP and 142.2 Nm. It is paired with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor and a 1.3 kWh battery pack. The electric motor has an output of 72 BHP and 162.8 Nm, and the hybrid powertrain is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The flex-fuel Corolla Altis Hybrid is based on the latest generation of the Corolla. It features a slim grille with LED headlamps, J-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a large trapezoidal air dam. At the rear, the car has wraparound tail lamps connected by a chrome strip.

According to Toyota, the flex fuel Corolla Altis has been imported into the country to raise awareness about ethanol as an alternative fuel.
