I tried the range test recently on plain roads with ECO+ mode and heavy regeneration. ECO+ mode restricts your speed to 80-83 KMPH. I travelled from Mahe to Guruvayur. It was a 160 km drive with 95% of my drive through National Highway 66 .
As the National Highway roads in Kerala are on 6 lane expansion, half of my stretches were bad roads and diverted through service roads. Those stretches were close to 50 kms and it took me close to 1:45 hrs to close down that very small stretch. Since then, I had to travel 100-110 kms ish distance to reach the destination. The next 110 kms were good roads, mostly opened stretches of 6 lane roads. But we had to exert additional caution while driving these roads, as some people were driving in wrong side towards opposite side. And also people still cross the roads on 6 lane highways even though the roads are fully operational.
So, almost 10-20 kms before the touch down at the destination, my battery percentage was down to 50% with to range of 159 kms. So, the trip meter was showing 128 kms of running distance. Actually, I reset the trip netter only after travelling 16 kms of drive at first. Basically, the total distance travelled with 50% of charge on ECO+ and heavy regeneration is 128+16 = 144 kms.
My call is, if we drive in a sedate driving style, we can expect a driving range of 280-290 km which is descent for a car at this price range.
