Honda Gold Wing, CBR1000RR recalled over faulty fuel pump

An inoperative fuel pump could lead to the engine stalling without indication.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled the GL1800 Gold Wing and CBR1000RR in India over a faulty fuel pump.

Gold Wings manufactured between December 2017 and December 2023 have been affected by this recall. The affected units of the CBR1000RR were built between September 2017 and April 2020.

According to the company, the improperly moulded fuel pump impellers can lead to deformation, resulting in fuel pump failure. An inoperative fuel pump could lead to the engine stalling without indication. Honda will replace the faulty component free of charge.

Owners can check if their bike is among those affected by the recall by entering the 17-digit VIN on this website.
