Honda XRE 300 ADV with flex-fuel engine spotted testing

It could rival bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Yezdi Adventure.

The Honda XRE 300 dual-sport motorcycle has been spotted testing in India. The same bike in Brazil can run on both ethanol and petrol.

The off-road bike gets 21-inch / 19-inch wire-spoke rims at the front and back, respectively. It gets a 259 mm ground clearance and a low 148 kg dry weight. The seat height is 860 mm. The XRE 300 comes equipped with 245 mm travel forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 256 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the back. It gets ABS as standard.

The ADV is powered by a 291.6cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine, developing 21.16 BHP / 27.6 Nm when running on petrol and 25.2 BHP / 28 Nm on ethanol. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, it gets an LCD display and full LED lighting all around. It could rival bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Yezdi Adventure.
