Hyundai Exter brochure leaked ahead of launch

The Exter SUV will take on the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

Hyundai is all set to launch its new sub-4-metre SUV, the Exter. Ahead of its launch, its brochure has been leaked, revealing all the details of the small SUV.

As per the brochure, the Hyundai Exter will be offered in a range of variant options: EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. The variants will come packed with features and tech, including LED headlamps, LED taillamps, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC and Hill Start Assist Control; among plenty of others.

The Exter SUV measures 3,815 mm in length, 1,710 mm in width, 1,631 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. The car runs on 15-inch alloys with disc brakes up front and drum brakes at the rear.

Powering the Exter will be the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that can also be found in the Grand i10 NIOS and Aura. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT. The Exter will be offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit as well.

Production for the Exter began last month, with the SUV set to take on the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 upon launch.
