Hyundai replaces steering column of my Creta under goodwill warranty

The service advisor dropped an email, and after 3 days he called me up and told me that the part has been approved and will be replaced free of cost by Hyundai.

BHPian shrey25 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Hi guys,

It’s been a long time since I’ve been active here, I just wanted to post a quick update.

The steering column issues crept in one again and the same old kat-kat noise started to pester the enthusiast in me.

Took the car for servicing a month back and discussed it with my SA at Mahadev Hyundai, Faridabad about the recurring problem. He was the one who got the column replaced under warranty 2 years back and since my warranty was expired, he told me that he will try to get it changed under goodwill by writing a mail to Hyundai India about the problem which has been in my car since the start.

He dropped an email, and after 3 days he called me up and told me that the part has been approved and will be replaced free of cost by Hyundai.

He called me up a day before yesterday and told me that the part has arrived and I can bring the car the next day to get it replaced, which I promptly did and the problem is now finally gone, fingers crossed and I’m really happy to be driving my car without that noise.
