Jeep Compass prices hiked by around Rs. 90,000

Reports suggest that Jeep has discontinued the Longitude (O) variant.

Jeep India has increased the prices of the Compass by about Rs. 90,000 from September 1, 2022. The Compass range now starts at Rs. 19.29 lakh, while the top-spec Compass Trailhawk costs Rs. 32.22 lakh (ex-showroom).

Reports suggest that Jeep has discontinued the Longitude (O) variant. It was available in 4x2 Petrol DCT and 4x2 Diesel MT versions. The gap between the base 'Sport' and '5th Anniversary' variants is now filled by the Night Eagle trim.

The Jeep Compass is available with two engine options. These include a 2.0-litre diesel that makes 168 BHP and 350 Nm and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol that puts out 156 BHP and 250 Nm.

Both engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The petrol is offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel comes with an optional 9-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available in the diesel version only.
