Kia Seltos scores 3-stars in Global-NCAP crash tests

The Kia Seltos has scored a 3-star rating in Global-NCAP crash tests. The SUV was awarded 2 stars for child occupant safety.

As per the crash test report, the Seltos offered adequate protection to the front occupants' heads. It offered good protection to the passenger's neck. Driver's chest showed marginal protection, while passenger chest protection was good. Driver tibias showed weak and adequate protection while passenger’s tibias showed good and adequate protection.

The child seat for a 3-year old was not able to prevent excessive forward movement during the impact. It offered poor protection to the head and good protection to the chest. The car offered good protection to the head and chest of a rearward-facing 18-month old.

The bodyshell and footwell area was rated as unstable. The test car was equipped with front seat belt pretensioners, dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, and ABS.
