Kia temporarily shuts down car production

Kia Motors has decided to suspend all its operations in India to contain the spread of Covid-19. Production at its manufacturing unit at Anantapur will be stopped until further notice.

Kia dealerships will continue to cater to customer requirements via digital channels. The carmaker has said that it will ensure deliveries are not delayed and service requirements of customers are attended to.

The Kia Seltos and Carnival are built at the Anantapur unit. The upcoming Sonet sub-4 meter SUV will also be built at this plant.
