Kia's global EV sales increased by 48% in January 2024

Kia EV6 continues to be the brand's most popular EV.

According to reports, Kia registered 2,44,940 units of sales globally in January 2024 - marking a 4.2% increase compared to last year.

Among these, Kia EVs accounted for 12,731 units - a 48% jump in sales, compared to the same month last year. Kia EV sales represent 5.6% of the brand's total volume. Kia offers several EVs like the Niro EV, Niro Plus EV, Soul EV and two Korea-specific models - Ray EV and Bingo EV. Apart from these, Kia also offers its new-gen EVs, based on its e-GMP platform, consisting of the EV5, EV6 and EV9.

Reports suggested that, in January 2024, Kia's wholesale shipments of its e-GMP-based models amounted to 13,874 units - a 101% year-on-year increase. Of this, the EV9 registered 4,945 units, and the EV5 in China recorded 763 units. The Kia EV6 continues to be the brand's most popular EV offering, registering 8,166 units.
