Lamborghini registers new sales record; sold out until 2024

Lamborghini has received 3,000 orders for the Aventador successor which is expected to be unveiled sometime later this year.

Italian supercar brand Lamborghini has registered a new global sales record in 2022.

The supercar brand is said to have sold 9,233 units worldwide, marking a 10% increase in sales compared to the previous year.

According to reports, the Urus SUV brought in more than half its total sales with 5,367 units, followed by the Huracan which registered 3,113 units and the Aventador selling 753 units last year. Reports also state that Lamborghini currently has an 18-month waiting list stretching into 2024. The supercar brand has also received 3,000 orders for the Aventador successor which is expected to be unveiled sometime later this year.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini stated that 2023 will be a challenging year. He added that he expected sales to level off a bit as the brand's lineup is refreshed. The company is also planning a new Huracan and an updated Urus unveil sometime soon.
