Mahindra Imperio pickup truck launched at Rs. 6.25 lakh

The Mahindra Imperio has been launched in India at prices starting from of Rs. 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane).

The Imperio is positioned as a premium pickup truck, developed to cater to the transportation needs of small and medium businesses. This vehicle appears to be a more upmarket and refreshed version of the Genio. It is equipped with follow-me-home lights, keyless entry, 2-DIN music system, power windows and an air-conditioner.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, direct injection diesel engine producing 75 BHP and 220 Nm of torque and has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 13.55 kpl. It has an independent front suspension, brakes with a load sensing proportioning valve (LSPV) and a load carrying capacity of 1,240 kg.

The Imperio will be manufactured at Mahindra's Chakan plant. It will be offered with a 3-year / 1 lakh km warranty and will be available in 3 metallic colours - Lava Red, Verve Blue and Arctic White.

The ex-showroom Thane (BS-III) and Mumbai (BS-IV) prices of the variants are as below:

Single Cab
SC (BS-III) - Rs. 6.25 lakh
SC (BS-IV) - Rs. 6.40 lakh
SC VX (BS-III) - Rs. 6.60 lakh
SC VX (BS-IV) - Rs. 6.75 lakh

Double Cabin
DC (BS-III) - Rs. 6.60 lakh
DC (BS-IV) - Rs. 6.75 lakh
DC VX (BS-III) - Rs. 7.12 lakh
DC VX (BS-IV) - Rs. 7.27 lakh
