Mahindra Thar AT 2nd service at 10,000 km: Total cost & experience

This was the very first time that I have chosen the pickup-drop service. I have always driven my cars to the service centre myself and got the job done till now.

10,000 km update

So I have hit the 10,000 km mark in approx 8 months of ownership. Actually, this milestone would have come up much earlier had it not been for a few media cars I have been driving & also the long-term MG Comet that I have in the garage:

The odo hit 10k this morning and off it went today for its 2nd service @10000km. I chose Mahindra Modi in Thane since it is close to my workplace.

Also, this is the very first time that I have chosen the pickup-drop service. I have always driven my cars to the service centre myself and got the job done till now.

I took a 9.30 am appointment and the driver came promptly at 9.00 am to pick up the Thar. At 9.45 I got a call from the SA about the jobs that would be done.

Tasks done were as follows:

• Engine oil & oil filter change
• Rear axle oil change
• AC filter change
• General check-up of the vehicle
• Washing & cleaning

Was very impressed by my SA Mr. Gaurav Dalvi. He was very proactive and was regularly updating me on the progress with pictures and videos. Car was delivered spanking clean, something that was much needed after the off-roading session last weekend.

The total amount that I paid was Rs. 3,948/-. Was very impressed with Mahindra Modi's service and will happily recommend them to other owners.

They have also come up with an off-road track on their premises where Mahindra 4x4 owners can go and have a little fun.
