Maruti XL6 AT first driving impressions by an XL6 MT owner

In short, the AT is a very competent package and for those who want even more comfort, should surely try it.

BHPian Leoshashi recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Drove the new automatic Zeta XL6, and my conclusion was, the AT is not only livable, but is lovable!

Unlike my XL6 which had dashboard rattles from day 1, the center trim and HU feels solid in this car. Fingers crossed. I tried pressing the center trim and it didn't creak line mine did before I fixed it. Seems Maruti has taken the feedback and worked on it.

Due to the upgraded sound insulation my car has, the AT XL6 felt quite noisy and the traffic noise was way higher.

The car has just 190 km on the odo, and the FE on MID is 14.3kmpl.

There is a bit of lag but never felt the car to be slow or lacking. Gearbox drops cogs very aggressively and gives the pull required.

We upgraded the horn to Hella Trumpet, adjusted the dead light and fog lamps and the boot floor lid fix was implemented. Still waiting for Alpha's OE camera.

The AT XL6 is on Bridgestone Ecopias while my car is on upsized Michelin, the difference in ride quality was quite evident.

AT gets these two extra screens in the MID:

In short, the AT is a very competent package and for those who want even more comfort, should surely try it. It won't set your pulses racing but it surely won't disappoint you. Efficiency too is respectable.

Signing off with a pic of both the cars:
