MG Gloster spied with a twin-exhaust setup

New spy images of the MG Gloster have surfaced online. This particular test mule, which was spotted in Bangalore, has twin exhausts unlike the quad exhaust setup seen on prototypes spotted earlier.

The different exhaust setups suggest that the Gloster could get more than one engine option or perhaps the more sportier looking quad exhausts could be available on a higher variant.

The MG Gloster is a re-badged version of the Maxus D90 sold in the Chinese market. It is expected to be imported as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and assembled at MG's Halol plant. The 7-seater SUV is likely to be offered with an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 218 BHP and 480 Nm. The engine could be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The MG Gloster will be positioned above the Hector and will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4 in the Indian market.
