My BMW R GS 1300: 5 add-ons I installed to make it complete

The engine as well as gear shift does feel extremely smooth although I can still feel that it heats up a bit.

BHPian Axe77 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Update on the bike is someone bought my older SW Motech SYS bags off me (I wanted to move back to something more easily lockable as well as lighter than Alu cases), and really loved SW Motech’s new Dusc cases.

The bike now is finally complete with all the add ons. The last set of things being:

  • Front Aux lights
  • A supplementary brake light (since the 1300 integrates them into the indicators which I don’t like)
  • Upper crash bar
  • The adapter ring that lets me mount my old tank bag again; and
  • the Dusc side cases.

Only the external toolkit case remains to be installed now. Bikes goes in for its first 1000 kms service tomorrow. The engine as well as gear shift does feel extremely smooth although I can still feel that it heats up a bit very unlike the 1250, which is a minor bummer.

Managed an early AM ride today morning to Gateway and Asiatic so some pics from the ride and from the garage last evening post the various last mile installations.
