My project car build: Supercharged Audi A6 3.0 T with 530 hp

I wanted to go fast and was looking for a high displacement forced induction application. The best car I found for this use was a 2012 Audi A6, this one comes with the 3.0T paired with DL501 gearbox (commonly found in S4/S5).

Picked up a used example and did a quick APR Stage 1 ECU/TCU along with full service, brakes, paint correction, lights and bumper facelift.

Drag times:

  • APR Stage 1 93 file ECU/TCU with stock hardware.
  • 0-100 = 4.4 seconds.
  • 1/4 mile = 12.54 seconds.

This was Stage 1 though. I bought a bunch of mods which I have started installing:

  • 3.0T APR STAGE 2+ file - @aprllc.
  • Ported supercharger/Inlet - @superchargedaudisport.
  • 56mm / 59mm custom sc pulley - @smoothflowpulleys.
  • 190mm crank pulley - @034motorsport.
  • 84mm 034 superduper throttle body - @034motorsport.
  • S6 heat exchanger v2 - @mercracing.
  • Test pipes - @redstarexhaust.
  • Uprated ignition coils - @aprllc.
  • Billet drivetrain inserts - @034motorsport.
  • Driveshaft carrier - @jxbperformance.
  • Water pump upgrade - CWA100-3.

The goal is to enter 10's for a 1/4 mile and do sub 3 second 0-100 launches.

Was finally able to put it together. Its getting the stage 2+ APR 93 aki file today.

The supercharger whine is mean!!

APR DUAL PULLEY ULTRA 93 AKI:

  • Ported supercharger/Inlet - @superchargedaudisport.
  • 56mm / 59mm custom billet pulleys - @smoothflowpulleys.
  • 190mm crank pulley - @034motorsport.
  • 84mm superduper throttle body - @034motorsport.
  • S6 heat exchanger v2 - @mercracing.
  • Test pipes - @redstarexhaust.
  • Uprated ignition coils - @aprllc.
  • NGK 94460.
  • Billet drivetrain inserts - @034motorsport.
  • Diff carrier- @jxbperformance.
  • Water pump - CWA100-3.

I did a dyno run and another dragy.

Full weight + 1 passenger.

I have removed the stock hx and the smaller secondary hx and modified the plumbing a little to make it work.

I will log some pulls tonight, I am running 245/45/18 SP Sport Maxx 050+ and have a lot of wheel spin at launch even with just 3000 rpm launch.

My 100-200 is really slow somewhere around 9.5.

I did some dyno runs as well with the 59 mm pulley, I will be doing another dyno session with the new 56 mm pulley installed soon:

I did some logs and the lpfp can't really keep up, I am losing fuel rail pressure after 6200rpm. The IAT's delta is 15-20 degrees when I did 3 back to back 3rd gear pulls.

There is a lot of optimizing required on the current setup, I am sure I can do low 11's on this 93 aki file.

Dyno figures: 530 hp and 630 Nm.
