Nissan Motor India appoints Saurabh Vatsa as MD

Vatsa will replace Rakesh Srivastava, who is set to retire on March 31.

Nissan Motor India has appointed Saurabh Vatsa as the company’s new Managing Director. He will take charge from April 1, 2024. Vatsa will replace Rakesh Srivastava, who is set to retire on March 31.

Vatsa was elevated to the post of Deputy Managing Director on January 15. As MD, he will report to Frank Torres, President, Nissan India Operations and Region Divisional Vice President of Business Transformation (AMIEO).

In a career spanning over three decades, Srivastava worked with top brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and JSW Group before moving to Nissan. He has been a key member of Nissan’s India leadership team and oversaw the launch of the Magnite.

“Vatsa will build on the foundation laid by Rakesh and spearhead our next phase of growth,” Torres said.
