OnePlus files trademark for driverless EV, e-scooters

Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple have already announced their plans to enter the EV market.

China-based smartphone maker OnePlus has filed a trademark for "oneplus life" in India. It seems the brand could be working on a range of new products including autonomous electric cars and e-scooters.

According to the trademark filing, OnePlus is working on driverless cars, self-balancing scooters, self-balancing boards, remote control vehicles, civilian drones and self-balancing electric unicycles.

Now, we've seen smartphone companies venture into the automotive business before. Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple have already announced their plans to enter the EV market. Earlier this year, there were reports of Chinese tech giant Oppo entering the fray as well.
