Route update: Dharmasthala to Bangalore via Shiradi Ghat in Scorpio N

Cars with low ground clearance may find it difficult to navigate here but the ghat section itself is very good.

Travelled to Subrahmanya - Dharmasthala this Sunday and, while returning, took the Shiradi Ghat. The video above shows the condition of the NH-75.

The stretch between Donigal and Gundya is pretty bad (The video is from this stretch). Low GC cars may find it difficult to navigate. Also, BOF SUVs would make you feel uncomfortable as the passengers in my Scorpio N were being tossed around on this road.

However, the ghat section itself is very good, and the stretch between Sakleshpura and Hassan (including the Sakleshpura bypass) is bliss!

While cruising on the Sakleshpura bypass, a truck that was parked on the side (maybe due to an accident, as there were a lot of people on the spot) decided to merge into the highway and take the fast lane right away. Luckily, I was able to brake on time as I was maintaining a safe distance with the Polo in front of me. Also, nobody was tailgating me, so lucky me!
