Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 teased ahead of India launch

The Himalayan 450 is expected to be based on the K1 platform.

Royal Enfield has released a short teaser on social media. The bike featured in the video appears to be the upcoming Himalayan 450.

The teaser shows the Himalayan 450 wading through a stream. The bike has a circular LED headlamp and a windscreen.

The Himalayan 450 is expected to be based on the K1 platform. It will be powered by a 450cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine estimated to produce around 40 BHP and 40 Nm.

Rumours suggest that the Himalayan 450 will be more offroad focused than the Himalayan 411 and will be equipped with upside-down Kayaba front forks.

The Himalayan 450 is expected to go up against ADVs like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure.
