Rumour: 6-seater variant of MG Hector spotted testing

The first spy images of what is reported to be a 6-seater variant of the MG Hector have surfaced online. The new model is likely to get revised styling and 3-row seating.

The spy images suggest that the 6-seat version is likely to get a new honeycomb grille with split-LED daytime running lights and redesigned headlamp clusters with chrome inserts and integrated turn signals. The SUV also has new tail lamp units and a redesigned rear bumper with faux exhaust tips. It is likely to get roof rails, a shark fin antenna, a roof spoiler and new design alloy wheels.

On the inside, the 6-seat Hector is expected to get separate captain seats in the second row. Besides that, it could receive a few interior changes, while the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment head unit is expected to be carried over.

The 6-seat variant of the Hector is likely to get the same engine options as the 5-seat variant. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 141 BHP and 250 Nm, a 2.0-litre diesel with 168 BHP and 350 Nm and a petrol-hybrid variant.
