Skoda Kodiaq sketches revealed before September 2016 unveil

Skoda has released a couple of official sketches of their flagship SUV, the Kodiaq. The company has also officially revealed that the Kodiaq will mark its world premiere in September 2016.

The company suggests that the overall design is inspired from the Czech cubism and the traditional Bohemian crystal art. Media reports suggest that the new Skoda SUV will offer the best-in-class boot space, and optional two extra seats in the third row. This will effectively make the Kodiaq a 7-seater.

Powertrain options on offer would likely contain 2.0-litre TDI diesel and TSI petrol mills. It is based on the Volkswagen group's MQB platform, which also underpins its cousin, the VW Tiguan XL. Since the automaker has already announced a launch in September, we expect it to be showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

Skoda India is expected to bring the Kodiaq in India next year.
