Skoda Octavia facelift revealed through official images

Skoda has revealed the facelifted Octavia through a set of official images. The 2017 Octavia will go on sale in the European markets by the end of this year. It marks the first update to the current generation of the sedan, since its debut in 2013.

Major exterior changes on the new Octavia are present in the front. It gets split headlight assemblies on either side of the new grille. The headlamps now feature LED technology. The front bumper too has been tweaked a bit to house the larger air dam and new fog lamps. Meanwhile, the side profile and rear end of the car remain nearly identical to that of the model it replaces.

On the inside, the new Octavia features a revised instrument cluster that gets an updated MID screen. There is also a 9.2-inch touchscreen display on offer, which takes care of the infotainment needs and also supports navigation. Other features include the company's new ŠKODA Connect technology with Infotainment Online and CareConnect. It also gets customizable key settings, heated steering wheel, folding tables for the rear passengers, and even a removable torch in the boot.

The 2017 Octavia will be offered with five petrol and four diesel engine options. Power outputs will range from 84 BHP to 184 BHP. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual and 6 or 7 speed DSG.
