Skoda Rapid production ends

The last batch of Rapid cars built are the Matte edition of the sedan.

Skoda has ended the production of the Rapid sedan ahead of the debut of its replacement, the Slavia. The last batch of Rapid cars built are the Matte edition of the sedan.

Over the years, the Rapid was available in various engine and gearbox combinations. After the BS6 emission norms came into effect in April 2020, the Rapid was launched with a 1.0-litre TSI engine producing 108 BHP and 175 Nm. The engine is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Rapid will be replaced by the Slavia, which is scheduled to be unveiled on November 18, 2021.
