Spied: Interior of next-gen Ford Endeavour

The Ford Everest concept (next-generation Endeavour) made its debut in Australia in 2013. It was subsequently shown at the Bangkok and Beijing motor shows. Now the SUV has been spotted testing in China and for the first time, a picture of its interior has been clicked.

While the picture is not very clear, it does give us an idea of what the overall layout of the inside of the car will look like. The image indicates that the interior of the Everest continues with the two-tone theme of the current car. However, the rest of it is completely different from the current Endeavour. There is a new steering wheel with buttons for various functions and a restyled dashboard which looks much more modern compared to that of the current model. The centre console features a new audio system and redesigned controls for the air-conditioning. The round air vents at the extreme ends of the dashboard have been replaced by rectangular ones.

The picture shows that the design of the centre tunnel has been changed as well. The gear lever for the automatic transmission is now shorter than before and has a cup holder to its left unlike the old car which had one in front of the lever.

The Everest is expected to be launched in India as the Endeavour sometime in 2015. It is expected to be powered by the same engines that are doing duty in the current model.
