Tata Safari Storme facelift spotted in Pune

A refreshed version of the Tata Safari Storme has been spied in Pune. The SUV has a new honeycomb grille and a restyled front bumper.

If rumours are anything to go by, the Storme is likely to receive changes to its interiors as well. A restyled dashboard, a Harman-developed infotainment system with steering-mounted controls and a forward-facing third row of seats could be offered.

Additionally, it is also possible that the Storme will get some mechanical changes. The 2.2-litre, VariCOR diesel engine could get a power hike which will enable it to produce 150 PS and 320Nm of torque like the Aria.

Launched in 2012, the Safari Storme has not managed to sell in the numbers that tatA Motors would have hoped for. In a bid to prop up its sales, the manufacturer launched an Explorer Edition version of the SUV with additional features. The company also displayed a rugged-looking "Ladakh" version of the SUV at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held earlier this year.
