Toyota Hyryder leaked; to take on Hyundai Creta

The Toyota Hyryder is expected to be unveiled on July 1, 2022.

The upcoming Toyota Hyryder has leaked ahead of its official debut. The SUV is set to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the likes.

This image of the Hyryder was posted on Instagram. It appears to have been taken during an ad shoot.

The Toyota Hyryder features a split headlamp design which has become quite common among cars in its class. Moreover, the front fascia looks very similar to Tata’s Harrier and Punch models. The car seen in this image has a dual-tone exterior with a black roof.

The Toyota Hyryder is expected to be offered with two engine options. These include a 102 BHP 1.5-litre mild-hybrid paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission and a 114 BHP 1.5-litre strong hybrid mated to a CVT. The SUV is unlikely to get a diesel engine option.

The Hyryder is said to be based on a localized version of Toyota’s TNGA-B platform. Maruti Suzuki will also offer a similar product based on the same platform.
