Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription launched at Rs. 96.65 lakh

Volvo has launched the XC90 plug-in hybrid in Inscription trim. The SUV is priced at Rs. 96.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Till now, the XC90 plug-in hybrid powertrain has been only available in Excellence trim, which is priced at Rs. 1.31 crore (ex-showroom). 

The Inscription trim comes with features like a touchscreen infotainment system with a 19-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system, 4-zone automatic climate control, air-suspension, head-up display and a panoramic sunroof among others. The XC90 comes with safety equipment and driver assistance systems including Volvo's City Safety, pedestrian detection, lane keeping aid, run-off road mitigation, hill start assist, automatic braking after collision, roll-over protection with roll stability control, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, ABS and airbags.

The XC90 T8 Inscription is powered by the same turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is offered on the T8 Excellence. The engine develops 315 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. The electric motor adds another 86 BHP and 240 Nm for a combined output of 401 BHP and 640 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription is imported as a completely built unit (CBU).
