BMW X6 removed from the brand’s official website

The BMW X6 was available in xLine, M Sport and '50 Jahre M Edition' trims.

BMW India has delisted the X6 from its official website, which suggests that the model may no longer be available.

BMW had introduced the '50 Jahre M Edition' of the X6 just a few months back. The SUV was also available in xLine and M Sport trims.

The BMW X6 was positioned above the X5, as a more stylish alternative. It featured a distinctive exterior with a coupe-like roofline. The 50 Jahre M Edition came equipped with Adaptive M Suspension, M-Sport exhaust system and M Sport brakes as standard. The SUV also offered 4-zone automatic climate control, sports seats, wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof.

In India, the X6 was powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine that made 335 BHP and 450 Nm and was paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The BMW X4 was also taken off the shelves in India earlier this month.

The special edition X6 is one of several ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ models that have been introduced in the recent past.

BMW has launched the X6 ’50 Jahre M Edition’ in India. The SUV is priced at Rs 1.11 crore (ex-showroom).

The special edition X6 is one of several ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ models that have been introduced in the recent past. The SUV gets a gloss black illuminated kidney grille with the classic ‘BMW Motorsport logo’, 20-inch M alloy wheels, M Sport brake callipers and a sporty front apron with enlarged air intakes and side sills.

Inside, the X6 50 Jahre M Edition comes equipped with a 4-zone automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon sound system and sports seats as standard. The SUV also gets features like temperature-controlled cup holders, wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof.

The X6 50 Jahre M Edition also gets Adaptive M Suspension, M-Sport exhaust system and M Sport brakes as standard. The optional 'Racer’s Pack' adds side decals and a rear spoiler, while the Motorsport Pack consists of a key fob in Alcantara and Carbon Fibre, and carbon fibre ORVMs.

The special edition X6 is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine that makes 335 BHP @ 5,500-6,500 rpm and 450 Nm @ 1,500-5,200 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

3rd-Gen BMW X6 launched at Rs. 95 lakh

BMW has launched the third generation X6 in India. The SUV is available in two trims xDrive 40i xLine and xDrive40i M Sport. Both variants are priced at Rs. 95 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will be imported a completely built unit (CBU).

The X6 features a coupe-like body style with a sloping roofline. The new model gets a larger twin kidney grille flanked by twin-pod LED headlights and L-shaped LED tail lights.

The xLine variant comes with an aluminium finish grille, xLine specific air inlets, gloss black lateral grilles, exhaust tip with aluminium finish and air breather surround.

The M Sport variant comes with the M Aerodynamics package that includes different bumpers, side skirts and wheel arch trims. It gets M badges, blue brake calipers, M door sill finishers, M-specific pedals, M -specific car key and M Sport exhaust system.

On the inside, the X6 comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with iDrive Touch, Voice Control, Gesture Control, and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, air-suspension, panoramic glass roof, 2.5-zone automatic climate control and rear view camera. Features such as soft-close doors, 4-zone automatic climate control, BMW Laser Light, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, heads-up display and Harman Kardon audio system are optional.

3rd-gen BMW X6 spied undisguised in India

The third-generation BMW X6 has been spotted completely undisguised in India. The SUV is expected to be launched on June 11, 2020.

The test car seen in this image is said to be the xDrive40i variant. It appears to have the M Sport kit featuring sporty front and rear bumpers, a large twin-kidney grille and twin-pod LED headlights. The SUV also has dual-tone alloy wheels with Y-shaped spokes.

On the inside, the X6 is expected to get two 12.3-inch displays, a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround sound system with 20 speakers, ambient air package with 8 fragrances and thermoelectric cupholders.

The 3rd-gen BMW X6 is expected to be launched in India on June 11, 2020. It could be available in two variants - xLine and M Sport.

Globally, the X6 gets a large kidney grille, which can be illuminated. It is flanked by twin-pod LED headlights. BMW Laserlight with Adaptive LED headlights is available as an option. It has a sloping roof and L-shaped LED tail lights. An M Sport exhaust system is available as an option. The M Sport variant of the X6 gets a black grille and black alloy wheels.

On the inside, it gets two 12.3-inch displays. The optional equipment list consists of a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround sound system with 20 speakers, ambient air package with 8 fragrances, and thermoelectric cupholders.

In the international market, the X6 comes with petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine options include a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder motor producing 335 BHP and 450 Nm and a 4.4-litre, V8 producing 523 BHP and 750 Nm. The diesel engine on offer is a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder unit in two states of tune - 261 BHP and 620 Nm and 395 BHP and 760 Nm. All engines are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission.

The third-generation BMW X6 has been spotted testing in India. The SUV was spied in Gurgaon, Haryana.

The new BMW X6 was unveiled earlier this month. The SUV features a coupe-like exterior styling and measures 4,935 mm in length, 2,004 mm in width and 1,696 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm. It gets a large, illuminated kidney grille at the front flanked by twin-pod LED headlights. At the rear, it comes with slim, wraparound LED tail lights and a dual-tone bumper with integrated reflectors and chrome exhaust tips.

On the inside, the new X6 gets a dual-tone interior with two 12.3-inch displays. The xLine and M Sport variants get all-black interiors. Some of the features offered in the X6 include a 360-degree camera, active cruise control, collision and pedestrian warning system with city braking function, lane keeping and lane changing assistant, traffic jam and emergency stop assistant.

In the international market, the X6 is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. These include a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol unit developing 335 BHP, a 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine producing 523 BHP and a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel motor producing either 261 BHP and 620 Nm of torque or 395 BHP and 760 Nm of torque. BMW has unveiled the third-generation X6. The car measures 4,935 mm in length, 2,004 mm in width and 1,696 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm. It rides on 19 to 22-inch alloy wheels.

At the front, the new X6 comes with a large kidney grille, which can be illuminated. It is flanked by twin-pod LED headlights. BMW Laserlight with Adaptive LED headlights is available as an option. The front bumper comes with a wide air dam with air vents on either side. The xLine variant comes with silver inserts around the air vents. The SUV has a sloping roof and air vents on the rear bumper and behind the front wheels. At the rear, the X6 gets L-shaped LED tail lights and a dual-tone bumper. An M Sport exhaust system is available as an option. The M Sport variant of the X6 gets a black grille and black alloy wheels.

The X6 comes with a dual-tone interior with two 12.3-inch displays.
