Ola S1 X prices slashed by up to Rs 10,000

The Ola S1 X deliveries will commence on April 22.

Ola Electric has reduced the prices of the S1 X by up to Rs 10,000. Prices for the e-scooter now start at Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom).

The Ola S1 X is available in three variants. The 2 kWh and 4 kWh variants receive a price cut of Rs 10,000, while the 3 kWh version now costs Rs 5,000 less. Deliveries will commence on April 22.

The Ola S1 X was launched in August 2023. It is positioned below the S1 Air in the company’s e-scooter line-up and comes equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console instead of a touchscreen. It gets features like cruise control and app connectivity. It features a redesigned headlight, a more basic handlebar, circular rear-view mirrors, and a flat floorboard.

The S1 X uses a hub motor setup with a peak output of 6 kW. The 2 kWh version can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 85 km/h, while the 3 kWh and 4 kWh version can sprint from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and have a top speed of 90 km/h. Depending on the size of the battery pack, the scooter can cover between 95-190 km on a single charge.

Volkswagen Taigun prices slashed by up to Rs 1.10 lakh

The price of the Comfortline 1.0L MT variant has been reduced to Rs 11 lakh.

Volkswagen has reduced the prices of the Taigun by up to Rs 1.10 lakh. It is a limited-period offer and is valid on select variants.

The price of the Comfortline 1.0L MT variant has been reduced from Rs 11.70 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. The prices of the GT Plus Chrome DSG and GT Plus Chrome DSG with new features have been slashed by Rs 75,000 and Rs 1.05 lakh, respectively.

The prices of the 1.5 GT Plus DSG Deep Black Pearl and GT Plus DSG Deep Black Pearl with new features have been reduced by Rs 74,000 and Rs 1.04 lakh, respectively, while the corresponding Carbon Steel Grey Matte variants now cost up to Rs 1.10 lakh less.

Citroen C3, C3 Aircross prices slashed by up to Rs 1 lakh!

Citroen has also announced the launch of the Blue Edition.

Citroen has reduced the prices of the C3 and C3 Aircross by up to Rs 17,000 and Rs 1 lakh, respectively.

Following the latest price cut, the Citroen C3 now starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, while prices for the C3 Aircross start at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special prices are applicable on select variants and are valid till April 30, 2024.

Citroen has also announced the launch of the Blue Edition, which is available across both the C3 and C3 Aircross models and their respective 'Feel' and 'Shine' variants.

The Blue Edition features a Cosmo Blue exterior colour and is equipped with an air purifier, sill plates, illuminated cup holders, custom seat covers, neck rests and seat belt cushions.

Skoda Kodiaq L&K prices slashed; lower variants discontinued

Skoda has slashed the price of the Kodiaq L&K from Rs 41.99 lakh to Rs 39.99 lakh.

Skoda has silently discontinued the Style and Sportline variants of the Kodiaq. The SUV is now only available in the top-spec L&K trim.

Skoda has also reduced the price of the Kodiaq L&K. The price has been slashed from Rs 41.99 lakh to Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda hasn’t made any changes to the mechanical bits or the features list. The SUV continues to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 188 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The second-generation Kodiaq is expected to arrive later this year. Globally, the SUV is available with a 1.5L TSI mild-hybrid, a 2.0L TSI 4WD and 2.0L TDI engines.

Petrol & diesel prices slashed by Rs 2 in India

The price cut comes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

The government has slashed the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 across the country. The new prices will come into effect on March 15 from 6 am onwards.

In Delhi, a litre of petrol now costs Rs 94.72, while diesel costs Rs 87.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol costs Rs 104.21 per litre and the price of diesel is Rs 92.15 per litre.

In a statement posted on the X platform, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said, "Reduction in petrol and diesel prices will boost consumer spending and reduce operating costs for over 58 lakh heavy goods vehicles running on diesel, 6 crore cars and 27 crore two-wheelers."

The price cut comes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. It is the first price revision since May 2022. Earlier this month, the government announced a reduction in prices of LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) by Rs 100.

Bounce Infinity E1+ e-scooter gets a price cut of Rs 24,000

Ather Energy and Ola Electric have also reduced the prices of their e-scooters by Rs 25,000.

Bounce Infinity has reduced the price of its E1+ electric scooter by Rs 24,000. The e-scooter is now priced at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom). The offer is valid till March 31, 2024.

The Bounce Infinity E1+ uses a removable 2 kWh battery pack offering a range of over 85 km on a single charge. It powers a 2.2 kW electric motor that enables the scooter to reach a top speed of 65 km/h.

The E1+ is equipped with a telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It features disc brakes at both ends.

Bounce Infinity isn’t the only brand to offer a discount on its products in recent times. Last month, Ather Energy slashed the prices of its e-scooters by Rs 25,000 and Ola Electric followed up with a similar price cut on the S1.

Range Rover Velar prices slashed by Rs 6.40 lakh

The Range Rover Velar is available in the top-spec HSE variant in India.

JLR India has reduced the prices of the Range Rover Velar by Rs 6.40 lakh. The SUV is now priced at Rs 87.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Range Rover Velar facelift was introduced in the Indian market in July last year. The SUV is available in the top-spec HSE trim. 

As part of the update, the Velar gets new pixel LED headlights, LED DRLs, redesigned tail lights and a new rear bumper. Inside, the SUV gets an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen, 4-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, powered front seats with heating and ventilation functions, a powered tailgate, and a Meridian audio system.

In India, the Velar is available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 247 BHP and 365 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 201 BHP and 430 Nm. The SUV gets a four-wheel-drive system and air suspension that lowers the ride height by 40 mm in 'Elegant Arrival' mode.

Ola S1 e-scooter prices slashed by up to Rs 25,000

Ola had also reduced the prices of the S1X+, S1 Air and S1 Pro back in December 2023.

Ola Electric has reduced the prices of its S1 electric scooter by up to Rs 25,000. Prices have been slashed as part of a limited-period offer and will be applicable till the end of February.

The Ola S1 X+ is now available at Rs 84,999. The S1 Air gets a price of Rs 15,000 and now costs Rs 1.05 lakh, while the price of the S1 Pro has been reduced by Rs 17,500 to Rs 1.30 lakh.

An Ola Electric spokesperson said, “On the back of a strong vertically integrated in-house technology and manufacturing capabilities, we have been able to restructure costs and decided to pass on the benefits to customers."

Ola had also reduced the prices of the S1X+, S1 Air and S1 Pro back in December 2023.

Tata Motors slashes EV prices by up to Rs 1.2 lakh

Prices of the recently launched Punch.ev remain unchanged.

Tata Motors has reduced the prices of its pure electric models by up to Rs 1.2 lakh.

The Tiago.ev gets a price reduction of up to Rs 70,000. With this, the base variant is now priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Prices of the Nexon.ev have also been reduced. The electric SUV range now starts at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices of the recently launched Punch.ev remain unchanged.

According to Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), battery costs constitute a substantial part of the overall cost of an EV. With battery cell prices having softened in the recent past and considering their potential reduction in the foreseeable future, the carmaker has chosen to proactively pass on the resulting benefits directly to customers.

It is said that EVs are outperforming the overall passenger vehicle industry growth. In CY2023, the EV segment grew by over 90% against the 8% growth recorded by the PV industry. In CY2024, EVs registered a 100% YoY growth in January.

Tata Motors leads the EV segment in India with a market share of over 70%.

MG Comet EV, Hector & Gloster prices slashed by up to Rs 1.31 lakh

The MG ZS EV is now available in a new entry-level trim priced at Rs 18.98 lakh..

MG Motor India has reduced the prices of the Comet EV, Hector and Gloster by up to Rs 1.31 lakh.

The prices of the Comet EV have been slashed by Rs 99,000. The electric micro-hatch comes in three variants- Pace, Play and Plus, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG has reduced the prices of the Hector by up to Rs 79,000. Prices for the Hector now start at Rs 14.94 lakh for the petrol variants, while the diesel range starts at Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG's flagship SUV, the Gloster has also received a price cut. Prices have been reduced by Rs 1.31 lakh to Rs 37.49 lakh. 

The MG ZS EV is now available in a new Executive trim. The new entry-level variant is priced at Rs 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices of the Astor though, remain unchanged.
