Mahindra Scorpio Classic spotted ahead of launch

The Scorpio Classic will be sold alongside the all-new Mahindra Scorpio-N.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic has been spotted once again ahead of its official launch.

As you may be aware, the old-gen Scorpio has been renamed as Scorpio Classic and will be sold alongside the new Scorpio-N. According to the type approval certificate, the SUV will be offered in 'S' and 'S11' trims with either 7-seat or 9-seat configurations.

The Scorpio Classic gets minor exterior changes, including a revised radiator grille and new dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV gets a dual-tone cabin with a touchscreen infotainment system. It gets the new ‘Twin Peak’ logo on the steering wheel, while the twin-dial instrument cluster has been carried over unchanged.

The Scorpio Classic is likely to be offered with a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 130 BHP @ 3,750 rpm. The engine could be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic to be offered in two variants

The Scorpio Classic will come in entry-level ‘S’ and top-spec ‘S11’ trims.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic will be sold alongside the recently launched Scorpio N. According to a media report, the SUV will be offered in two variants.

The report states that the Scorpio Classic will come in entry-level ‘S’ and top-spec ‘S11’ trims. Both variants are likely to be offered in both 7 and 9-seat configurations. With this, Mahindra will cater to private buyers as well as fleet operators.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic will be powered by a 138 BHP 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. An optional automatic gearbox and 4-wheel drive are unlikely to be offered on this model.

Mahindra hasn’t announced the launch date of the Scorpio Classic. However, reports suggest that the price announcement could be made soon.

A Mahindra Scorpio Classic finished in bright red has been spotted just ahead of its launch.

The Scorpio Classic will be sold alongside the Scorpio N. As you can see, the SUV is expected to feature minor changes, including a revised front grille with the new Mahindra logo, projector headlamps and refreshed tail lamp clusters. It will also get dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, a roof spoiler and side steps.

The Scorpio Classic is also expected to get a few changes on the interior. It could get features like a touchscreen infotainment system with connected tech and cruise control; among others.

The Scorpio Classic is likely to be offered with the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine as before. It could be paired with a manual transmission.
